But Commidea have not stopped there; any staff member can request a bill from any terminal, at any table, at any time without having to return to the restaurant POS, even if the bill has not been ‘totalled up’. Using Commidea’s unique ‘Bill Lodging’ functionality sitting on the restaurant POS, any member of staff can instantly select a table number from the Ocius Xplorer terminal and print a total itemised bill for a table of customers.
The bill can then be paid ‘at the table’ via Chip & PIN. For larger parties, the Ocius Xplorer has unique ‘split bill’ functionality so multiple people can pay a bill via various payment methods. This can be a combination of credit/debit cards and cash; all completed at the table in front of the customer. Gratuity can also be added individually or as a group payment at the end.
The entire payment process is uniquely completed from initial bill request to printing of receipt at the table and importantly keeps the customer’s card in their sight at all times, eliminating any fears of fraud.
Pre-certified by all major UK banks, the Ocius Xplorer requires no further bank testing before or after installation, saving time and money for any hospitality merchant.
