Commidea Provide Mobile Voucher Solution

Commidea Provide Mobile Voucher Solution
Partnership brings down barriers to entry, bringing mobile gift vouchers and coupons to leading high street retailers.

Commidea, the market leader in the development of card processing technology solutions, is integrating the ability to process mobile gift vouchers and coupons to its range of Ocius Chip & PIN terminal solutions.

Ocius has become the market leading credit card payment solution used by a range of customers including major high street retailers and small independents. By adding mobile voucher technology to its suite of products, Commidea has removed the final barrier to entry for many retailers - Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) integration – enabling thousands of retailers to accept mobile vouchers and coupons.

Eagle Eye Solutions’ (EES) Mobile Voucher Redemption System (MVRS) easily integrates into any EPoS, providing real-time reporting and tracking of any voucher campaign, making it simple and easy for retailers to validate and audit. The concept of mobile vouchers has been around for sometime, however, this agreement opens up the mainstream high street retail market for the first time.

The mobile voucher solution from EES will be available for Commidea’s EPoS partners and customers. The individual retailer will have the final say on whether they want to accept voucher campaigns or not.

Simon Wilding, Managing Director of Commidea, said: “Commidea works with a number of large retailers that are interested in this growing business trend. We process in excess of £16bn worth of transactions annually and to be able to offer a mobile voucher redemption ability to our customers is a major advance in electronic retail payment solutions and we are delighted to be working with Eagle Eye Solutions.”

Steve Rothwell, CEO Eagle Eye Solutions, said: “As providers of mobile technology to the retail environment, we are delighted with this agreement. It opens up the market for mobile vouchers to the mainstream retail environment as never before and demonstrates the erosion of the final obstacle to mass-market acceptance of the mobile voucher.”
