Commidea and Eagle Eye Solutions deploy first national mobile voucher campaign
Customers can request a voucher from the Coors Light website (www.coorslight.co.uk) to redeem against a free bottle of Coors Light in any Pitcher & Piano bar. The voucher can be delivered either as a text message to a mobile phone or it can be printed out. Bar staff at Pitcher & Piano enter a unique code provided on the voucher into Commidea’s Chip & PIN terminal to verify the transaction.
Commidea’s Ocius Chip & PIN solution authenticates the mobile vouchers, avoiding misuse and reducing the amount of administration associated with paper-based vouchers. Each voucher is fully traceable throughout the bar chain and provides insight into consumer behaviour.
“This is a great example of how we have listened and worked with Pitcher & Piano to deliver a unique piece of activity that will not only drive footfall into 28 Pitcher & Piano bars but will also drive up weighted purchase of Coors Light with both new and existing consumers. It will also reward existing Pitcher & Piano customers, who will be able to download the voucher via a Pitcher & Piano email, creating potential to collaborate on further joint digital activity in the future”.
Said Nicola Young, Marketing Communications Director at Coors Brewers.
“Mobile vouchers drive footfall and revenue to retailers by offering a convenient and easy to use incentive.” said Stephen Rothwell, CEO of Eagle Eye Solutions. “The technical development of using the Chip & PIN terminal to redeem mobile vouchers brings secure, authenticated and traceable coupons directly to the heart of retailers. Coors Brewers and Pitcher & Piano have embraced the opportunities of this new technology and are reaping the rewards from it”.
“Mobile voucher technology is compatible with Commidea’s latest range of Chip & PIN terminals, so it is really easy to deploy“, said Giles Cooper, Head of Sales and Marketing at Commidea. “Innovation is vital for businesses looking to keep ahead of the competition, but it also has to be practical, simple to use and secure.”
