Pret A Manger Go Contactless
Pret A Manger boasts over 150 stores across the UK and overseas, with its premises taking up to £25,000 a day. During busy periods, such as lunchtime, the counter activity can be hectic, so Pret A Manger needed a solution to reduce queues and improve the speed and efficiency of transactions.
An initial trial was carried out over seven stores across London, and following the success of this trial a phased roll-out took place across 171 stores. Working with Barclaycard and Commidea, the Contactless system was integrated with Commidea's existing Chip & PIN solution and Pret A Manger's EPoS system.
Contactless payment systems offer Pret A Manger and their customers a fast and convenient way to process transactions under £10, and improve customer experience.
